Huangqiongyu was first built in the ninth year of Ming Jiajing (1530), and in the seventeenth year of Jiajing (1538), it was renamed Huangqiongyu. Originally a double eaved circular building, it was renovated into the current single eave style in the 17th year of the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty (1752). The imperial dome enclosure has the function of transmitting sound, commonly known as the echo wall. The Imperial Dome Hall is round, facing south from the north, with a 2.85-meter high circular Xumizuo at the bottom, and a blue glazed tube tile single eave pyramidal roof gilded crown. The circular Sumeru pedestal is made of blue and white stone masonry, surrounded by stone guardrails. There are three steps to the east, south, and west of the pedestal, and to the south, there are two dragons playing with pearls on the Danbi stone. In the three characters "Huangqiongyu", "Huang" refers to the supreme authority; 'Dome' refers to the sky; 'Yu' refers to the universe and also to buildings. So the Imperial Vault is also known as the "Heavenly Treasury" by people.
With reverence and longing, we reviewed historical materials, created digital models, and finely restored the entire building, incorporating traditional mortise and tenon techniques.
