The Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests was first built in the 18th year of the Yongle reign of the Ming Dynasty (1420). On September 18, 1889, the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests was destroyed by lightning and fire. Reconstruction began the following year and was completed in 1896, which took six years. From October 1970 to September 1971, the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests was rebuilt before being destroyed by lightning and fire. The main hall of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests covers an area of 460 square meters and is a circular hall with a gilded roof, blue tiles and red columns, and a magnificent painted three story double eave design. The Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests adopts the construction form of the Upper Prince's House. The Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests is designed according to the concept of "respecting the heavens and gods". The hall is circular, symbolizing the roundness of the sky; The tile is blue, symbolizing the blue sky. This design is influenced by the traditional concept of "sky blue rehmannia".
